SPL started with a modest capacity of 66,000 TPA of Polystyrene in 1995 and has grown impressively since in size, stature, and scale of operations. Today, the effective installed capacity stands at a formidable 300,000 TPA.
Polystyrene (PS) is a synthetic resin produced by the polymerization of styrene monomer.
SPL manufactures several grades of both General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) for injection moulding, extrusion, thermoforming and blow moulding applications. They offer various combinations of toughness, transparency, heat distortion, temperature and flow behaviour.
General Purpose polystyrene (GPPS) is a clear and transparent polymer. Available in moisture proof 25 kgs and 900 kgs jumbo bags.
High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) incorporates polybutadiene rubber to impart strength and toughness to Polystyrene. Available in moisture proof 25 kgs and 900 kgs jumbo bags.
