XPS insulation boards are energy-efficient, easy to install and lightweight, it creates a layer of thermal and moisture protection on a building’s walls and roofs, making it ideal for houses and commercial applications.
Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is a thermoplastic polymer foam with a closed cell structure. Solid granules of polystyrene resin are fed into an extruder, where they are melted and mixed with critical additives like flame retardants etc. to form a viscous fluid. A blowing agent is injected to enable the plastic product’s expansion. Under carefully controlled heat and pressure conditions, the plastic mixture is forced through a die into the desired shape. The rigid foam plastic is then trimmed into sheets.
XPS is ideal for a range of uses – from wall and roof insulation, false ceiling, cool rooms & cold storages, under concrete slab (i.e. car park), and even for architectural modelling or hobby model making.
Also used for hydroponics, reefer containers and trucks for vaccine transportation etc.
